I met Xibin when I relocated to Boulder, CO because of work. I knew he was very bright and a great dev. However my first impression was his friendliness, easy going nature and this really happy smile. We got to know each other pretty quickly and we became pretty good friends. We played badminton a few times and I tried to teach him and the boys ice skating. He invited my family over for dinner a few times and really made us comfortable especially we just recently moved to Boulder and we just recently had our first child. As the years went by, maybe with all my talk of the Pacific Northwest, Xibin actually told me he’s going to relocate his family to Seattle. He went by himself to get everything ready so that the transition for his family would be as easy as possible. After he moved to Seattle, we frequently chatted on IM and I told Xibin that I have an opportunity to move back to the Pacific Northwest. The first week I moved back, Xibin already invited me and my family out to Fat Burger and he treated. Since moving back we haven’t had as many opportunities to get together. However we’ve always kept close contact on IM and email. The last dinner I had with Xibin was 2010 Thanksgiving at my house. He brought over a lot of clothes and toys that the twins no longer need and gave them to my kids. The clothes and toys he chose were all fairly new. When we heard of the accident, we were in total shock and then sadness hit. Our thoughts are with you Christine, the twins and family. Please let us know what we can do to help get through this very very difficult time. We will always remember his happy smile and easy going nature.
