I met Xibin through the badminton community in the Seattle area. Though I was not close to him, seeing his love and dedication of mastering the sport, and the interactions between his family and others, I gained admiration and respect for him. Xibin did not need words to express himself. His demeanor, expressions and actions tell us who he was and what he believed. His love for his family and friends, his friendly smiles to people around him, and his dedication to master the sport he loved show you what kind of person he was. Xibin is like water, soft and gentle but strong and determined. But at the end, the ocean took him away from us… He lived life to the fullest and left behind indelible marks on people around him.
